Welcome to SIEF
The Saskatchewan Indigenous Enterprise Foundation Inc. (SIEF) offers First Nations entrepreneurs the access to capital they need to develop businesses in Saskatchewan.
SIEF is recognized as one of Canada’s first and largest Aboriginal Financial Institutions (AFI), which are autonomous, Indigenous-controlled, community-based financial organizations. We provide business lending solutions and business consulting services and administer lending programs and services.
SIEF has made thousands of First Nations businesses and jobs possible
SIEF turns dreams to reality. It is growing the First Nation entrepreneurial and business spirit by being leaders in providing innovative financial products and services.
SIEF’s services have been developed to effectively enhance the entrepreneur’s ability to succeed and are available to:
- First Nation individuals,
- First Nation communities,
- Tribal Councils, or
- other First Nation organizations
who have start-up businesses and existing businesses operating in Saskatchewan.
SIEF is First Nations-owned
SIEF is owned by the 74 First Nations of Saskatchewan and affiliated with the Federation of Sovereign Indigenous Nations, Inc. (FSIN). SIEF is also a partner with the TD Bank to create the First Nations Bank of Canada (FNBC).
Our goal is to continue to assist in the creation of jobs and to foster economic growth for First Nations people because a strong Indigenous business community means financial independence for all First Nations people.
SIEF’s office is Saskatoon on the Asimakaniseekan Askiy Reserve, but our staff is available to visit your organization or community.
